Get Organized
Begin with the End in mind. Imagine the pride you will feel as you finish your year as part of the chapter
leadership team. Plan now to make that moment stand out. Conduct an Officer Training & Orientation Meeting
so that when school begins your team is up and running.
Dedication. Serving as a chapter officer, committee member or team leader for Delta Epsilon Chi is a lesson
in active leadership. Dedicate yourself to providing quality experiences for your chapter members and you will walk
away from this year a better business manager, public speaker, event coordinator, competitor, motivator and community
member
Plan. Recruiting and retaining members will be easier if you give them a benefit for attending each meeting. Invite
a career-field speaker. Teach them resume writing tips and practice interviewing. Use a Program of Work to make
this a year of activity and you will find new members coming to every meeting.
Use the Delta Epsilon Chi Passport to gain personal and chapter recognition for your efforts at planning
and attending great chapter activities
Review. Review your goals and program of work on a regular basis. Help each other to stay on task and get everything
done. 99% of completing a goal just doesn't count. Commit and complete each task 100% of the time.
Look Ahead. Anticipate challenges and opportunities your chapter will face two, five, even ten years down the road.
Include long-term planning in your program of work and leave your legacy as part of the success of this chapter. Write a
business plan) to keep the chapter moving forward.
Additional materials are available to you as you organize your chapter and prepare for the exciting educational and
professional leadership, community service and competitive activities offered through Delta Epsilon Chi.
