C.A.R.E., or Community Action Rewards and Experience Initiative
Designed to increase community involvement, this initiative will give back to the communities that support our chapters and create a stronger name for Delta Epsilon Chi across cities, states and countries.
Dare to C.A.R.E.! Delta Epsilon Chi's Month to C.A.R.E. Kicks-Off October 1!
Delta Epsilon Chi C.A.R.E.s is such a powerful way for us all to make an impact on our communities.
Beginning October 1 and ending November 1 - Delta Epsilon Chi members will C.A.R.E. to make an impact once again.
Chapter leaders - who will be the chapter that contributes the most hours to making a difference in their community? Let's make this a competition!
Participants in this Month to C.A.R.E. event will be recognized at our International Career Development Conference.
How Do You get Recognized?
1. Plan community service events for your chapter to happen throughout the month of October. Send your plans to one of your national officers or post your plans on our Facebook page.
2. All your service participants MUST BE MEMBERS in order for your hours to count. Get your membership submitted and paid for at anytime throughout the month by visiting our online membership system.
3. Once you've completed your projects submit a brief description and/or pictures, number of hours, and a roster of participants, to a national officer or send your email here.
We will check your participation roster against your membership roster just to varify and we'll feature your C.A.R.E. activities on our website and in a coming edition of the Chi Connection!
Imagine how much of in impact we as an organization can have on the world today! With 12,000 members and growing - if each of us put in only two-hours of service that would be 500-days of service!
That is more than one year of impact we can all make in just 30-days!
It is simple to do your part in your community and at the same time display these positive characteristics that Delta Epsilon Chi members possess making a name for yourself, for your chapter and for the organization as a whole.
Civic consciousness is one of the four points on the DECA diamond and C.A.R.E. can help us all to fulfill that part of our organization's mission.
